conversions. A note on boards that provide Halfwave or Fullwave power for DC can motors. Halfwave power is best for locos that need good low speed performance as the pulsing of halfwave allows better low speed motor starting. Fullwave gives better top end performance and heavy load capability. Both work fine but each has its advantages. Boards are available to power either the original AC open frame Gilbert style motors or DC can style motors used in today's engines. You must select your boards to match the style of motor you will be using. Generally there are two parts in today's TMCC unit in the Loco. A Receiver and a board that has the motor driver circuits on it. These two parts are married as one in the Loco. Originally the Receiver and the Drivers were on the same board in the first boards Lionel used. |

The Mini Commander ACC is the only command control receiver that has configurable voltage and pulse durations for controlling accessories. All selection of the voltage and pulse settings are accomplished from the CAB-1tm controller during the configuration phase. Four configurable outputs Two low current, Two high Current Additional Data outputs for Railsound and external driver circuits. The Mini Commander has exclusive “Soft Set Technology”; which allows you to change the unit ID (1 to 99) and the voltage/pulse settings without installing a program/run switch! The
Mini
Commander
from
the Electric RR Co. The Electric Railroad Company 939 Wood Duck Ave. Santa Clara, Ca. 95051 The Mini Commander is a unique board that has a TMCC compatible receiver and driver circuits on the same board and therefore does not need a R2LC receiver. By changing the firmware and adding a couple of external rectifier diodes this board can also function as a Halfwave DC Motor driver board for Locos etc. Recommended for use in S helper and American Models Locos |
